According to Karina Ostroносова, product director at KvantInsight, a HR analytics platform, salary increases are expected in the coming months for specific segments where labor shortages have persisted. Two groups of specialists are predicted to see notable income growth. The first group consists of qualified IT professionals, including software developers, machine learning engineers, cybersecurity specialists, system architects, and product managers. Over the past year, median salaries in this sector have risen by 17-22%, depending on the specific profile. This trend is expected to continue in the near future, driven by a surplus of job openings in IT, with some specializations having two to three times more vacancies than active job seekers. The second group comprises highly skilled trade workers, such as welders, universal turners, millers, crane operators, long-haul truck drivers, and special equipment operators. With an estimated 4.2 million person shortage in the economy, the largest share of this deficit affects workers and engineering professionals. As a result, salaries for welders and turners have already reached 180-185 thousand rubles and may increase by another 10-15% in the next six months. Additionally, engineers and designers in the defense and infrastructure sectors, as well as specialized doctors in commercial medicine, such as dentists, surgeons, and cosmetologists, can expect salary growth of 10-12%.
