Russia Establishes Registry of Authorized Foreign Student Recruiters

In a move to enhance the recruitment process for international students, Russia has compiled a list of approved recruitment agencies. This registry, which includes 391 organizations, aims to provide educational institutions with a reliable source of information when evaluating potential partners. The list was created based on criteria such as legal status, work experience, transparency, reputation, and security. According to Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Education and Science, this registry serves as a resource for universities to assess potential risks when interacting with recruitment agencies. The registry will be distributed to all educational and scientific organizations and published on the ministry's information resources, with annual updates planned. This initiative is part of the federal project 'Russia in the World' under the national project 'Youth and Children', which aims to promote international cooperation in education. With over 422,000 foreign students from 182 countries currently enrolled in Russian universities, this registry is expected to play a significant role in streamlining the recruitment process and ensuring the quality of educational services provided to international students.
