Rox AI Reaches $1.2 Billion Valuation as AI Agents Reshape Sales Tech

Rox AI, a startup building autonomous AI systems for sales teams, has secured new funding that values the company at $1.2 billion, according to sources familiar with the deal. General Catalyst, an existing investor, reportedly led the round. The company declined to comment.

Founded in 2024 by former New Relic executive Ishan Mukherjee, Rox AI sells what it calls an "intelligent revenue operating system." The software integrates with existing platforms like Salesforce and deploys hundreds of specialized AI agents. These agents automate tasks such as monitoring customer accounts, researching new prospects, and updating records, aiming to consolidate the array of tools many sales departments currently use.

At the time of the funding, which closed last year, Rox AI was projected to reach $8 million in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2025. The company had previously raised $50 million in 2024 from investors including Sequoia, General Catalyst, and GV. A GV investor noted in a past statement that Rox AI's agents work continuously to identify risks and opportunities within customer data.

Rox AI enters a competitive field against established players like Gong and Clari, as well as newer AI-native platforms. Its listed customers include Ramp, MongoDB, and New Relic. The significant valuation underscores continued investor confidence in AI's potential to overhaul traditional sales workflows, even as the market grows more crowded.
