Speaking from Nvidia's GTC conference, Huang didn't mince words: "It is now the largest, most popular, most successful open-sourced project in human history. This is definitely the next ChatGPT."

The distinction, according to Huang, lies in action. Unlike chatbots that converse, OpenClaw creates autonomous agents that execute tasks. These systems can make decisions and operate software with little ongoing guidance. To harness this movement, Nvidia just launched NemoClaw, a fortified version packed with its own software, aiming to make such agents secure and scalable for businesses.

Huang painted a vivid picture of the shift. "In one line of code, you can create your own agent. Then, just ask it to do whatever you want," he explained. He described an agent that, tasked with designing a kitchen, could independently learn design tools, generate concepts, and critique its own work. The potential, he argued, is to democratize high-level skills. "Every carpenter can now be an architect. We are going to elevate the capabilities of everyone," Huang stated.

This promise comes with recognized perils. The ability of AI to act autonomously raises immediate questions about security and control. Nvidia positions NemoClaw as its answer, building in privacy safeguards and oversight tools intended to serve as necessary guardrails. The company's bet is that managing these risks is the key to moving AI from a tool that assists to one that reliably executes.
