A new survey from media holding Rambler&Co reveals that almost half of Russians are open to consulting AI assistants for guidance and explanations on complex topics. The study, conducted in July, found that 40% of respondents would ask AI to break down difficult subjects in simple terms, while 16% already use artificial intelligence for learning languages, studying, and picking up new skills.
The research also highlights how AI is weaving into daily routines. Fourteen percent rely on AI for planning their day, managing to-do lists, and setting reminders. Another 6% use it for shopping and household tasks, and a similar share turns to AI for finding evening entertainment, leisure activities, or travel ideas. Notably, 18% see neural networks as a universal tool for a wide range of everyday scenarios.
Despite this growing adoption, Russians remain pragmatic about AI’s limits. Forty-four percent view smart assistants as a useful tool but not a cure-all, while 26% express hope that people won’t gradually lose their independent skills. Nineteen percent are enthusiastic, seeing AI primarily as a way to save time and effort on routine chores. Only 11% admit they haven’t yet found any real benefit from the technology.
