Hark’s $700M Series A: Building a Universal AI Interface from the Ground Up

What does it take to build the first consumer AI product that truly matters? For Hark, the answer is $700 million. The AI lab announced a Series A round at a $6 billion post-money valuation, led by Parkway Venture Capital and backed by a consortium including AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures.

Founder Brett Adcock, previously behind robotics firm Figure.AI and Archer Aviation, launched Hark in late 2025 with $100 million of his own capital. The company’s mission: develop an agentic AI system that acts as a universal interface for the digital world. Hark plans to release its first multi-modal models this summer, powering a personal AI platform that integrates with existing services. Hardware devices optimized for those systems will follow.

The cash will fund hiring across hardware, product design, and AI research, plus compute and component procurement. Hark currently runs a data center with Nvidia B200 GPUs and employs 70 people. Abidur Chowdhury, former Apple product executive and Hark’s director of design, declined to share specifics but noted that investor demos impressed.

Chowdhury criticized current AI products for focusing on developer tools—citing Anthropic’s coding emphasis and OpenAI’s IPO-driven trajectory—while neglecting everyday users. “We haven’t seen anything that really helps the normal person,” he said.

However, technical challenges loom. Delivering personalized context without compromising privacy or making bystanders uncomfortable remains unsolved. Wearables like Meta’s glasses have not cracked this. When pressed, Chowdhury smiled: “Sounds like that would make a great product.” For now, Hark’s architecture and data pipeline decisions remain opaque, but the scale of investment signals a bet on vertical integration from model to hardware.
