Anthropic Folders Claude Chat and Cowork Into a Single Interface

Anthropic is combining the front ends for Claude chat and Cowork, so users no longer have to figure out which tab fits a given task.

The unified window covers chat, Cowork, and Artifacts, Claude's interactive workspace tool, while Claude Design - introduced in April for websites and prototypes - now works anywhere inside Claude. Previously, Anthropic said, customers often struggled to pick the right tab, so the new design routes requests automatically instead of making people switch tabs or windows.

Anthropic is also adding presentation and document features. Users can ask Claude to create, edit, and present slides, then download the result as a PDF or PowerPoint. A Docs feature lets users build sections with Claude, ask questions, and comment on finished parts, with generated documents or slides shareable by link and editable on a phone. A task started on desktop can be tracked from the mobile app.

The features roll out first to Pro and Max plans across web, desktop, and mobile in the coming weeks, with free and team tiers to follow. The update follows an upgrade to Cowork's memory layer for recalling user context across chats.
