A startup that builds AI agents for enterprises just used one of its own to raise its latest round. Lyzr, a three-year-old company based in Jersey City, New Jersey, deployed its system named SivaClaw to handle the legwork for a $100 million Series B, according to Bloomberg. The AI fielded questions from over 130 investors, drafted investment memos, and tracked which slides potential backers spent the most time on. The company was valued at roughly $500 million in the deal.
The move served as a proof of concept for Lyzr’s product. If an AI agent can close a nine-figure funding round, the sales pitch almost writes itself. But the more surprising detail is how little human hustle was required. Lyzr told Bloomberg it generated $400 million in interest from investors across Silicon Valley, the Middle East, and the financial sector without a single founder flying out for the traditional coffee meetings and warm introductions on Sand Hill Road.
That may be the real story here. In an era where capital is flooding into AI bets, startups with traction can raise massive sums without leaving their desks. For Lyzr, the fundraising process became its own best advertisement—a closed loop where the product did the selling.
