Airwallex Raises $320 Million to Fuel Autonomous Finance and AI-Driven Commerce

Airwallex, a global payments company, has secured $320 million in Series H funding, boosting its valuation to $11 billion. This significant investment, led by Addition, will be used to accelerate the development of autonomous finance and agentic commerce products, expand its regulatory footprint, and grow its teams building next-generation AI-native financial software. The company's annualized revenue has surged 74% to $1.3 billion, with over 90% of revenue coming from customers using multiple Airwallex products. To support its growth, Airwallex has introduced two new AI-focused products: T:0, an AI-native platform for automating corporate finance functions, and Airi, an agentic consumer wallet. With over 85 licenses across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, Airwallex is well-positioned to support the emerging agentic economy. The company's co-founder and CEO, Jack Zhang, emphasized that the new capital will enable Airwallex to move faster into its next chapter, leveraging its existing infrastructure to support the development of AI-driven financial software. As Airwallex continues to expand its product offerings and global presence, it must balance the technical complexities of building autonomous finance systems with the need for regulatory compliance and data security.
