In a summer rollout, Peacock will introduce a feature called “Your Bravoverse,” which uses an AI-generated avatar of Bravo host Andy Cohen to guide viewers through personalized content playlists. The move signals NBCUniversal’s continued investment in synthetic media to boost engagement on its streaming platform, which captured just 1.8% of U.S. TV viewing in January.
The feature blends algorithmic recommendations with human curation, stitching together scenes from "Real Housewives" and other Bravo series based on a user's preferences. Cohen’s digital likeness will appear on-screen to introduce clips. The company emphasizes all AI-generated video is clearly labeled, a pertinent detail as Hollywood unions once again negotiate contracts with major studios, with AI protections a key bargaining point following the historic 2023 strikes.
“This takes fan chatter to the next level,” Cohen said in a statement, acknowledging the avatar is “a version of me.” The project follows Peacock’s earlier use of an AI Al Michaels for Olympic highlights.
Executives presented the feature at NBCU’s headquarters, framing it as an attempt to formalize Bravo’s highly active fan community. “Our audience behaves less like a traditional passive TV audience and much more like a community,” said Frances Berwick, Chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted.
Alongside the Bravo initiative, Peacock is adding live vertical video for NBA games and integrating casual games based on franchises like "Jeopardy!" and "Law & Order," broadening its interactive offerings in a competitive market.
