This April, CNN is launching a documentary quest that asks one of technology's biggest questions. "Kara Swisher Wants To Live Forever" premieres April 11 at 9 p.m. Eastern. The six-part series follows the veteran tech journalist as she examines the booming, and often controversial, field of longevity science.
Swisher, whose father died young, has long been preoccupied with mortality. Now, she turns a reporter's eye on the modern pursuit to delay it. The series will tour medical clinics and biotech labs from Silicon Valley to South Korea, a nation known for its long life spans. She interviews key figures driving the movement, including OpenAI's Sam Altman, biochemist Jennifer Doudna, and entrepreneur Bryan Johnson. Scott Galloway, her podcast co-host, and Reed Jobs, son of Steve Jobs and a venture capitalist in the health sector, also appear.
In a statement, Swisher framed the investigation around power and access. "The individuals who shaped the digital world are now pouring immense resources into conquering aging," she said. "I'm looking at what's real, what's fantasy, and who ultimately benefits from these advances."
The series is a production of EverWonder Studio, with Swisher serving as an executive producer. New episodes will be available for streaming on CNN platforms the day after their television broadcast.
